One of life’s most delicious flavor combinations is peanut butter and chocolate, and that makes for one decadent dessert! Try these cupcakes, which include not only a peanut butter cup on the top, but also have peanut butter FROSTING!
The pictured batch is great for fall or Halloween, but this is a year-round staple that I’m sure you’ll be making for parties, gifts, or just to enjoy at home any time of the year.

Peanut Butter Cup Cupcakes
You Will Need:
Chocolate Cupcake Ingredients
1 box double chocolate cake mix
4 large eggs, room temperature
1 cup milk
1/4 cup oil
2 Tbsp plain Greek yogurt
Peanut Butter Frosting Ingredients
1/2 cup butter, room temperature
1 1/2 cups creamy peanut butter
2 cups powdered sugar
1 tsp vanilla extract
3 Tbspmilk
1 cup crushed Oreos
Vanilla Frosting Ingredients
4 cups powdered sugar
1 cup butter, room temperature
3 tsp. vanilla
2 tbsp. milk
1 drop orange food coloring (or whatever color you’d like to use!)
You will also need:
12 Reese’s pumpkins (if in the fall) or regular or mini Reese’s cups to top your cupcakes with
To Make:
Cupcakes:
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
2. Line regular-sized muffin tins with double cupcake liners. (Use 2 liners for each cupcake.)
3. In a large bowl, add your cake mix, milk, eggs, oil and Greek yogurt.
4. Mix until smooth.
5. Scoop the batter into cupcake pans, filling the liners 3/4of the way full.
6. Bake cupcakes for 18-20 minutes or until done.
7. Allow to cool before frosting.
Peanut Butter Frosting:
1. In the bowl of a stand mixer, add the butter, and peanut butter.
2. Beat until smooth.
3. Add powdered sugar and vanilla. Beat until combined.
4. Add milk and mix until light and fluffy.
5. Frost cupcakes only a little bit to be able to dip in the Oreos.
6. Take each cupcake and dip into the crushed Oreos.
Vanilla Frosting:
1. In the bowl of a stand mixer, add the butter and vanilla.
2. Beat until smooth.
3. Add powdered sugar. Beat until combined.
4. Add milk and food coloring. Mix until light and fluffy.
5. Frost the cupcakes with the vanilla frosting, on top of the peanut butter/Oreo frosting already on each cupcake.
6. Place the Reese’s candy on top.
