*I wrote this review while participating in a campaign for Mom Central Consulting on behalf of Wet Ones. I received free admission to Six Flags, attended an informational and complimentary luncheon, and received a gift bag and promotional item to thank me for taking the time to participate.
When I was asked to go to Six Flags Over Texas for a free day the the park for a blogging event to learn more about Six Flags and Wet Ones Antibacterial Hand Wipes, I knew I had to say yes! Living in the Dallas / Fort Worth area certainly has its advantages – like living 35 minutes away from one of the best theme parks in the nation.
While I originally had planned on taking my 6 and 8 year olds, my dad was actually in town over the weekend. They bailed on me to spend time with him (I get that!), so I had the pleasure of taking my 3 year old and 14 month old. I was a little bit worried about going to a huge amusement park with such little kiddos all on my own, but I knew that we would have fun anyway.
Armed with 2 cute dudes and 2 cans of sunscreen, we set off to enjoy the day. We had a few celebrity sightings, like when we saw Bugs Bunny dancing his tail off in front of the opening gates by the carousel. That’s also where we ran into Daffy Duck. My kids aren’t huge fans of characters, but they were both really good sports about it, so I was happy. I really didn’t want to be that mom with the hysterical child.
A huge highlight of this trip to Six Flags Over Texas was that we got to meet Stacy DeBroff, the founder and CEO of Mom Central Consulting! She had the right idea wearing a BRIGHT neon shirt so she was easy to spot in the crowd. She showed us all of the awesome Wet Ones products.
My favorite was the Citrus scented Wet Ones Antibacterial Hand Wipes. They seriously smelled like a pina colada. By the name “citrus”, I was immediately expecting fake lemon, but it was nothing of the sort. YUM. I can totally get used to smelling that when cleaning the grime off of my kids’ hands.
We also had the pleasure of hearing about Six Flags Over Texas from its President, Steve Martingale. He gave us a brief history of the park and a bio on his work with them. He’s been with Six Flags for over 40 years. That tells me that the company must be just as fun to work for as it is to visit.
He told us some stories about testing and changing some of the park’s biggest and most unique rides throughout the years. For some reason, I didn’t picture executives actually taking the rides for a spin, but he loves them! Who knew?
Wet Ones WORK
We used our Wet Ones all over the park. We used them before lunch, after exploring bugs in some dirt in the landscaping, and after taking Charlie into the restroom with me in the stroller and his choice to explore the feminine hygiene trash cans before I could stop him. I’m just glad that they kill 99.99% of germs and still leave hands soft and smelling great. They even have an option for those with sensitive skin as well. Score!
We have a few packages of these around the house for any sort of sticky situation that might come up. I love having the individually wrapped wipes for throwing into my bag when we head out and won’t be near a reliable source of hand washing. (Even if there is a sink with soap and paper towels, have you ever tried to take all 4 kids into a public restroom on your own? Maybe while one kid was sleeping, the other peed his pants, and the other 2 are whining that they don’t need to go potty? No? Just me? Oh, okay!)
I had an awesome time with the littles at Six Flags Over Texas. Since we live so close, I do hope that I have the opportunity to take the whole family out there again soon. We were only able to do the little kid rides, and I know that my husband and older kids would love to knock themselves out on the more thrilling options.

SUCH fun! These are great pictures, too.
I also can’t wait to go back with the whole family – seeing your littlest one there made me realize that there is definitely stuff for my toddler to do!

I enjoyed the way you incorporated the product review into your fun day at the park, though I give you a lot of credit for being able to enjoy it so much with such little ones in tow!
