We went to the first weekend of the Day Out With Thomas event last Sunday and had so much fun! This weekend is the last weekend here in Grapevine, so hurry and grab your tickets or you’ll have to wait until next year!
There is so much to see and do. Take a look for yourself!

A fun, free activity that my boys wouldn’t let us walk by without participating in was this adorable mini train ride! The little cars were big enough for us to ride together, and they had so much fun waving to the crowd. Thomas came by on the big train track near by, and the conductor stopped our little train to stop and wave at Thomas and his passengers, too! How cool is that?

There were blacksmithing demonstrations happening in here. It was cool to see real craftsmen and we were able to talk with them and ask questions as well.

This clown was CRACKING the kids up. Seriously, I’m talking belly laughs. He was great with the children and encouraged them to interact with him during his show. My boys stayed back a little, but had huge grins the whole time.

When you get to the Thomas train ride, they give you these little train tickets that tell you where to sit. My guys loved this, because it made the whole experience more authentic! An attendant took them from us during the ride, just like during a train ride.

The petting zoo was a HUGE hit, just like last year. My 23 month old was beside himself, and my 4 year old had to touch every single animal before we could leave! There were bunnies, chickens, ducks, lambs, goats, cows, and more!

There is a huge sand box with LOTS of fun toys to play with. My son wanted to play in this last year, but we didn’t have enough time. He didn’t let me forget! We spent a good amount of time here.

What’s a Thomas event without the classic play train set? My sons enjoyed playing with them. They had at least a dozen of these tables set up with plenty of trains and accessories for all to share and enjoy.

The magic show was located next to the play train area. He was really funny and wowed the crowd with his tricks!

If you don’t want to miss out on all of this fun you’d better get your tickets!

Everyone waves at Thomas as he chugs along. Toot Toot!
*We were provided with complimentary tickets to this event.
