Now that the kids are out for winter break, I’m sure that many parents are scrambling to find fun activities to do as a family. Don’t miss Sparkle at the Hilton Anatole in Dallas!
Thank you to Hilton Anatole for hosting our family and allowing us to experience a magical Dallas staycation that really got us into the holiday spirit. We had a blast. My kids are already begging to go back.
“Sparkle!” opened November 28th, and is open every single day until January 4th, except Christmas Day. Check out the Sparkle! Calendar for specific hours and special events.
This attraction is completely indoors, and is in its second year.
There are so many different things to see and do feature:
- An indoor ice skating rink meant to resemble a scenic pond
- Bounce Houses
- Velcro Wall
- Kids’ Crafts
- Story Time with Rudolph
- Nightly entertainment
- Light Shows Every Half Hour
- Santa’s Hilltop Slide
- Movie Lounge
- Photos with Santa (Saturdays and Sundays, $10 each)
- Millions of holiday lights both indoors and strewn throughout the Anatole’s on-property 7-acre park
- And more!
My daughter was thrilled to ice skate for as long as she wanted. We don’t get the opportunity often, and this alone justifies the admission price, in my opinion! Skating and ice skate rental are included at no extra charge!
Don’t miss out on the face painting ($3 each, purchase tickets at admission table). The artists did an excellent job and were even patient with mu curious 2 year old.
My daughter felt like a princess with hers. The sparkles were the perfect touch.
Since we were there over the weekend, we wanted to go to Breakfast with Santa. (This is an additional fee and available Saturdays and Sundays only. Please reserve by emailing Samantha.Waugh@hilton.com or call 214.761.7814)
The food was plentiful and delicious. A made to order pancake bar, oatmeal, the best cinnamon rolls I’ve ever had, bacon, scrambled eggs, turkey hash, an egg casserole mini skillet, boxed cereals and milk, juice, coffee, fresh fruit, yogurt parfaits, and so much more were part of this terrific breakfast. Oh, and don’t forget that SANTA came to each table to greet little visitors and find out about their Christmas wish lists. Your kids would LOVE this!
If your kids like bounce houses, there are two really fun ones. My kids spent hours in this one:
Another exciting attraction is this huge slide. It is right near the food trucks, so my older kids played here while we waited for our sliders, milkshakes, and sandwiches.
If you haven’t tried the food truck fare in Dallas yet, you have a chance at Sparkle! Besides the 3 food trucks, there is also a beverage area with hot chocolate, beer, wine, water, and huge decorated gingerbread man cookies. If cake is your thing, you’ll also want to stop buy and purchase some from Nothing Bundt Cakes. They are sooo good! If you haven’t tried them before, the ladies have samples available.
Sundays are Pet Friendly Days, and you can bring your little fur baby along with you. Don’t worry, Hilton Anatole Dallas has thought of ways to keep your pooch comfortable!
There was something for everyone at Sparkle. We are planning on going back now that my kids are on a 2 week homeschool break. I think we may have found ourselves a new holiday tradition.
