So I (foolishly? ignorantly?) thought that summer ending would mean relaxing a bit, taking a deep breath, and focusing on homeschool and life at home for a while. Right? WRONG!
Apparently I love chaos, because my schedule is already FILLING up for the next several months. Between Girl Scouts (I volunteer with the Service Unit as well as help lead my daughter’s troop), blogging conferences (I’m signed up for 3 – one in August, one in September, one in March…so far!), my homeschool meetup group (which meets around 2-3 times a week and we are planning big field trips this year!), and normal life (doctor appointments, errands, family vacations, etc), I am CRAZY busy this year. I cannot imagine how much MORE busy I’ll be as my kids start getting older. Oh, yikes, I just remembered my son was wanting to do karate too. *sigh* NEVER ending, I tell ya.
I will need to schedule in LAZY days, I think. Do any of you do that? I’ve heard of people scheduling date nights, scheduling down time, and scheduling naps for crying out loud. I may have to resort to this, too.
I just put all of my obligations into my phone’s calendar and it’s putting me at ease… a little bit anyway. It looks like I do have a few dates free. LOL
I usually schedule lazy WEEKS, where I just let the kids go wild with TV and computer games and I catch up on housework or blogging or whatever. When things really get out of hand, that’s what I do.
