I’ve really been enjoying my subscription to E-Mealz. It’s the one I mentioned earlier this month when they had the deal through Moolala. I picked the Aldi family plan and we’ve been saving a LOT of time and money by letting THEM do the meal planning for me.
What I like most about this one versus several others that I’ve tried is that you can print out the shopping list AND the meal plan on one page front and back or on 2 pages. The meal plan includes the meal name, ingredient list, and ALL cooking instructions for the entire dinner on a single page! That just makes it seem “neater” and I get less overwhelmed looking at it each week.
Another thing I like about it is that the family plan is set for 6 people. Obviously we have 5 people (so far), but 3 of them are little… so these meals last us dinner (including seconds and sometimes thirds by hubby!) AND at least 2 servings worth of lunches. That makes it an even better value because the ingredients for the meals spill over into the budget for lunch, too. This is important to note because several people have mentioned to me that they can’t imagine spending $70/week on dinners for their family (Remember, they give SEVEN dinner meals in the weekly meal plan!), but when it also includes at least 4-5 days’ worth of lunches, too…. Well that’s a deal! Also – $70/week on groceries is a heck of a lot cheaper than my former plan of going out to eat 3 nights a week or so (at $20-40 a pop!) because I was too tired, frustrated, or short on ingredients to cook at home.
Here is a look at what we had with our meal plan last night:

I REALLY think I need to use this. I used to be so good at meal planning, but that was back when I didn’t have so much going on. It’d be awesome to have it all taken care of for me!
Thanks for finding me today, I dropped by to follow you too. Loving the dots on your blog wallpaper. So cute!!
Happy Thursday!
Hi Jenn,
I’m following you back from the Blog Hop. E-Mealz looks great. I’ve tried something similar called Food On the Table, but found that during this pregnancy my tastes have been changing too much to plan on anything too far in advance! Haha.
