Here I am, 3 months away (ish) from delivering my 4th boy and 5th kid!! I can’t believe it. On one hand, it feels like it’s been going by fast and I have no time left to accomplish the zillions of things I still have to do before he gets here. On the other hand, I am wondering when it’s going to really start feeling like I’m crazy-pregnant. While my belly is starting to get in the way of things like bending or quickly scootching past people, I still feel pretty normal most of the time.
I had my last midwife appointment almost 2 weeks ago. I’ve gained 20 pounds now (!!!!) and they did my Gestational Diabetes screening. I haven’t gotten a phone call, so I’m assuming that my numbers were normal for that and for iron, which they also tested for during that blood draw.
I’ve been going to the chiropractor for adjustments and a massage every 3-4 weeks, but I think after my appointment this week, I’ll go ahead and start going every 2 weeks. My right hip keeps going “out” and it feels like a catch in my lower back/hip/top of my butt. It sucks! I’ve shown hubby where to massage and that helps SOOOO much, but I hate feeling this every couple of days!
Oh, Baby has also been transverse and posterior a LOT lately. I normally can’t tell, but he makes it pretty obvious. While this is great for not feeling like I have a bowling ball between my legs and I haven’t had a ton of heartburn, it does make me nervous. I don’t want him to be SO darn comfortable in bad positions!
I’ve started doing inversions and pelvic tilts before bed, but I still often wake up with a breech or transverse baby – or a stubbornly posterior little man. I know he has tons and tons of time to pick a better spot, and that they can turn even through delivery, but goodness! I want him in a good position for MY own comfort during the pregnancy!! 🙂
I’ve been eating way too much, as usual when I’m pregnant. I’m already thinking about all the calorie counting I’ll likely start doing within a week of delivery. (It’s not so bad when you get a ton of “extra” calories for nursing!! It’s more like, “Ooooh, I still have calories left! What should I eat?!” for the first few months. haha!)
Third trimester, here I come!

You are looking great girl! You are in the home-stretch now! I’m getting ready to deliver my third boy in another week or so so I totally understand your pain!!
