I have partnered with Tiny Toast by General Mills, found at Kroger stores everywhere, to show you how to make delicious Breakfast Parfaits 5 Ways.
I have some very hungry kiddos in the morning. The trouble is, I don’t love waking up early to feed them. Okay, so I usually do, but sometimes it is nice to have a breakfast that they can fix for themselves.
Cereal has always been a staple in our house, but I wanted to come up with something a little bit different. I decided to show my kids how to make a few different varieties of breakfast parfaits with ingredients that they love. These are super easy, and the flavor combinations really are endless depending on what each kid likes or just happens to feel like that morning.
Breakfast Parfaits 5 Ways
From Left to Right, I’ll share with you what we made. I used brand new Tiny Toast cereal in all of the recipes to add the perfect amount of sweet crunchiness with real strawberry or blueberry flavor in every piece. It tastes so good on its own, and pairs well with these flavor combos.
Apple Berry Parfait
I layered unsweetened applesauce, vanilla Greek yogurt, and Tiny Toast Blueberry. My daughter was most excited about this one and she found it really easy to just kind of pour together in a flash and gave her a new flavor combination. I love that Tiny Toast has no artificial flavors or colors and doesn’t have high-fructose corn syrup. Who needs all of that junk when you’re wanting a tasty, but nutritious breakfast?
Mixed Berry Parfait
For this one, we started with mixed fresh berries (blueberries and strawberries), then a layer of mixed berry yogurt, a layer of blackberries, and then topped it with a mix of both Tiny Toast flavors, strawberry and blueberry. My tween son loved this one so much that he insisted I save some blackberries and yogurt for him to make this for himself the next day. I hid both behind a jar of mayonnaise in the fridge to ensure Daddy didn’t eat them. He can’t see past things in the fridge, so the ingredients are safe back there.
Strawberry Banana Parfait
This one was my favorite combination, but my 4 year old sort of stole it out of my hands. If you’re wanting to make this one, it begins with a layer of fresh bananas, topped with some strawberry banana yogurt (vanilla would work, too), covered in strawberries, and then finished with a crunchy layer of Tiny Toast Strawberry. I’m going to have to make this one again in the morning!
Lemon Berry Parfait
My 6 year old claimed this beauty. It’s simply strawberries, lemon flavored Greek yogurt, and Strawberry Tiny Toast. It couldn’t be easier! He helped make it and couldn’t believe how tasty lemon and berries were together. It made me think of a yummy strawberry lemonade with a sweet crunch.
Blueberry Banana Parfait
This last one was what was left, so it was mine! A layer of bananas was topped with vanilla Greek yogurt, covered in blueberries, and finished off with a sprinkling of Blueberry Tiny Toast. I love the combination of the fresh fruit, the hearty yogurt, and the sweet cereal. It’s hard to believe that a serving of Tiny Toast only has 9 grams of sugar. Not bad!
All of these breakfast parfaits are easy to put together and so tasty to eat. Everyone in my family wanted to get their hands on all of it, especially the cereal toppings. Not only that, but the pieces of Tiny Toast cereal are so stinking adorable that no one seems to be able to keep their hands off of them.
Breakfast does NOT have to be just about eating cereal with milk – although that’s still a yummy and simple breakfast option, too.
You can pick up the brand new Tiny Toast breakfast cereal at Kroger (like I did), and don’t forget this money saving coupon for your purchase!
What are your favorite flavor combinations for sweet, creamy, crunchy breakfast parfaits?
