I love semi-homemade dessert and snack recipes. This frosted donut pops recipe is a lot of fun, because it involves donuts. (Well, unless you call them doughnuts. Then it involves those!) With a few simple ingredients and your favorite donuts, it’s easy to whip up this adorable little treat in no time.

Frosted Donut Pops
Ingredients:
- Glazed or cake donuts (we love Krispy Kreme)
- Marshmallow buttercream frosting (recipe below)
- Blue food gel (or your favorite color!)
- Sprinkles
- Wooden Pop sticks
To Make:
- Put your marshmallow buttercream frosting into a bowl.
- Add a VERY small dab of the blue food gel to the frosting and mix thoroughly until desired blue color is achieved.
- Insert the wooden sticks into each donut.
- Using a spatula or butter knife, spread the colored icing on each donut.
- Add sprinkles to the frosting of each donut.
- Let set for 5 minutes.

To Make Marshmallow Buttercream Frosting
Ingredients:
2 cups butter
3 cups powdered sugar
1 tsp almond extract
13 oz jar marshmallow creme (like Kraft Jet-Puffed)
To Make:
1) Using an electric mixer and medium mixing bowl, cream the butter until light and fluffy.
2) Slowly add the powdered sugar, 1/2 cup at a time, until well mixed.
3) Add the almond extract and beat until well incorporated.
4) Gently fold the marshmallow creme in the mixture and thoroughly blend.
