Here We Go Again!!

Well, it’s official.  We’re listing our house for sale.  Again.

You see, we listed last May and it was on the market for a full 6 months.  No bites.  DARN!  It was sooo hectic.  In fact, we (meaning me) were so tired from the last go ’round that we have been too overwhelmed to think about listing again until now.  My husband thought it was so easy.  Sure, it’s easy when you’re at work when “the call” comes in.  “The call” that has you buckling the kids up in the car (in the garage) while you run around cleaning like a maniac for an hour to make sure the house looks presentable.  Ack.  Yeah, hubster totally thought this house for sale thing was a breeze until it came time to trim the grass weeds down.

Of course, since we did make the appointment to sign papers with the real estate agent, we had to have a major fiasco.  Yesterday some friends came over and the hubbies changed out our upstairs bathroom faucet and our kitchen faucet.  Score!  Those suckers had been sitting in the box for almost a year, so it was about time!  Hubs went to a guys’ night nerd night last night and about the time he got home, we heard a terrifying noise.  WATER.  Dripping. Down. AHHH!!  Turns out the lovely hard water had messed up some stuff and we had some brand new leaks.  YAY! (not).  Anyway, we’re having a plumber over tomorrow (HOPEFULLY) and will hopefully be getting that fixed ASAP.  Plus I have to fix the ceiling now. 🙁  Bummer because I was hoping to get away with not painting at all this time.  Have I ever told you guys that I *hate* painting and hate home repairs in general?  Yeah, I do.  I’m so ready to be renting.  I know it goes against the American dream and all that, but my dream is NOT to be tied to some stupid property that constantly needs updates and repairs.  YUCK.  Plus, it’ll be nice not to have to pay property taxes to fund a school system and hospital I don’t use.  Perk!  Plus, selling our house will allow us to be debt free!  Woot!

Anyway, just thought I’d mention this because it’s on the brain!
Any tips, tricks, or words of advice for me?
Maybe some prayers that we don’t have to clean this house 23409834 times just to have it sit on the market?
