Greenling is an awesome place to purchase local and/or organic foods. They provide FREE delivery right to your door, too! I’ve told you how much I love Greenling before, but now there is a new reason to place an order. They have excellent seasonal goodies, including yummy foods that would be PERFECT for holiday meal side dishes and desserts. This year they also offered turkeys for pre-order that were gone in a snap due to popularity, but I’ll be keeping my eye out for that deal again next year! (What’s better than eating a local, fresh, home-delivered turkey!?)

*I was provided some tasty Greenling goodies for the purpose of this review. All thoughts are my own and I really do love using Greenling for my fresh food, pre-prepped, and grocery needs.
Greenling provides straight-to-your-door fresh food deliveries. They carry a variety of fresh fruits and vegetables, but also have anything from coconut juice to chocolate to lunch meat, too! Once you see how it works, you can see if they deliver in your area. They currently deliver to certain locations in Dallas/Fort Worth, Austin, Houston, and San Antonio, Texas. Check out the New to Greenling box in the top left to see if they deliver to your neck of the woods.

My son loves helping me unload the Greenling tubs. This time, I got 3 seasonal kits: Apple Butternut Soup Holiday Side Kit, Green Bean Casserole Holiday Side Kit (I didn’t have time for pictures – my family chowed down before I had the chance!), and the Broccoli, Rice, and Cheese Casserole Side Kit.
These kits are fabulous because they take all of the prepwork out of cooking. Instead of holiday meals being tedious, you can actually reclaim some of that time by letting Greenling do all of the chopping, measuring, and ingredient gathering for you. Honestly, it saves me plenty of time and makes throwing food together a snap.
Instructions are included inside your package with preparation steps. This soup took minutes to prepare and was so easy.

I enjoyed the twist of having ginger in this warming soup. I really liked this and had never had anything like it before. I’ll be ordering again for sure!

My husband’s favorite side dish was this casserole. It did take a bit longer to prepare, but only because the rice had to be cooked and then the whole casserole baked together. I enjoyed not having to ALSO bother with grating cheese and chopping veggies. I’m mildly allergic to onions, and cutting them myself is truly painful (those tears are real!). Having them prechopped is perfect for me.
The ingredients are wholesome, fresh, and are all either local or ogranic (or both) in Greenling’s offerings. This casserole was tasty warm out of the oven and I ate the leftovers for “fourth meal” later that night. I couldn’t help it!

Grab and Go Greek Salad with Dill Vinaigrette sounds terrific!
I always order dried fruits from them. I also like the prepped kits. The pizza (roasted red pepper) is my favorite and I tend to eat it for lunches during the week without sharing with my family… does that make me a bad person?
