Lime and Coconut Soap
Homemade soap makes a great gift, so give this DIY Lime and Coconut Soap Recipe a try if you need to make something with a personal touch! You can also just make it for yourself, using simple ingredients and just a little bit of time.

Several years ago, I was ALL about making my own bath and body products. I made lip balms, soaps, lotions, and more. While I enjoyed doing so, I almost always used a premade base to make it easier and faster. I mostly purchased from major warehouse suppliers, but there are great supplies available at Michael’s, Hobby Lobby, or even Amazon(affiliate link). I’ll link a few of the ingredients in the supply list below with my affiliate links as well.

You Will Need:
½ lb goats milk glycerin soap, melt and pour base
1 tbsp zest from a fresh lime
10 drops coconut soap fragrance
1 drop green and 3 drops yellow soap or food coloring (optional)
Large measuring cup
Spoon or wooden popsicle stick
Simple Serenity Soap Mold by ArtMinds (or your favorite small soap molds)
Step 1. Sprinkle a little of the lime zest into each of the soap molds.

Step 2. Place the soap base in a measuring cup and microwave for 30 seconds. Stir very well. If not completely melted, repeat at 10 second intervals until fully melted.
Step 3. Stir in the optional soap coloring, the coconut scent, and the remaining lime zest.

Step 4. Pour mixture into the soap molds.

Step 5. Lightly spray the tops with rubbing alcohol. This prevents bubbles.
Step 6. Let the soap set in the molds for about 30-60 minutes until hardened and remove from mold.

I hope you’ll enjoy trying out this simple homemade soap recipe. It is a wonderful gift, and can be a game changer for anyone with sensitive skin. The goat milk is very moisturizing and helps to balance and calm the skin without drying it out. The lime zest gives it a refreshing scent and great texture. To mix things up, you could replace that with lemon zest or orange zest as well.
