My family goes bonkers for Little Critters books.  As a child, I had quite the collection of the stories by Mercer Mayer and loved finding the hidden spiders and grasshoppers in each picture.   Let’s face it.  I still like to choose these books to read to my kids because of their simple text and really interesting and engaging illustrations.
