Review: OCEAN Nasal Care Products and AHCC (and a giveaway!)

It is official – Cold and Flu season is SOOOO here! My oldest son seems to come down with *everything* and the rest of us occasionally get hit with it too. My youngest son has already gotten the flu this year. Yuck!

I have had the opportunity to review some awesome products that will certainly help keep us all well and healthy.
Meet OCEAN Nasal Care!

We have been using these products for years. Ocean is a favorite in our house for their excellent saline drops. I don’t know if we could have gotten through infancy with our children without it! Any time the kiddos get a sniffle or sneeze, we break this stuff out. I was so pleased to see that there was a children’s version! Woohoo!
Pictured are the 3 products I received.  The OCEAN Premium Saline Nasal Spray, the OCEAN for Kids (The tip is child-sized!  So easy to use!!!), and OCEAN Complete Sinus Irrigation.
These products are PERFECT for dry or otherwise irritated sinus passages.  They work gently and painlessly and are VERY effective.

In addition to THESE great, products, I also received a sample bottle of AHCC to try.

Proven Benefits of AHCC

In vivo and human clinical trials have shown that AHCC modifies both the innate and adaptive immune response, by:

  • Increasing the production of cytokines
  • Increasing the activity of NK cells by as much as 300-800%
  • Increasing populations of macrophages, in some cases doubling them
  • Increasing the number of dendritic cells
  • Increasing the number of T cells by as much as 200%

I took the AHCC while there was a cold outbreak in my house and it worked really well!  I still got a little sniffly, but VERY VERY mildly and nothing compared to my last bout with a cold!
In addition to the bottle of AHCC, I got a great Sudoku book (for brain health!), a beautiful jade bracelet (believed to help with health and immunity), and a box of Stash green tea (which has so many awesome health benefits!).

    I like OCEAN for Kids® the most because my 7 week old gets stuffed up at night, we run a humidifier but he still gets snuffly. This looks like it would help and it says you can use it from newborn up.

    I visited kinoko AHCC and learned AHCC® (Active Hexose Correlated Compound) is an extract obtained from a hybridization of several species of mushroom mycelia. AHCC® supports normal immune function and may improve the number and functions of immune system cells.

    I’d like to try the OCEAN Gel® Nasal Moisturizer since it sounds effective and I’ve never seen anything like it. I like how it forms a “moisture cushion.”
