Review: Purex Complete Crystals (and a Giveaway – 3 winners!)

Purex Insiders is a new program that Purex has put together for bloggers to be able to try out new products and stay up to date on the latest happenings at Purex.

As part of this program, I was able to try out one of their newest products.  It is called Purex Complete Crystals and it’s a cool new way to use fabric softener.
You can use it in top loading or front loading washing machines.  I have a front loader and it worked great!

 Here is how it works:

You sprinkle the crystals in at the beginning of a wash load.  It is scented with a wonderfully luxurious strong scent.  To be honest, I was worried that my clothes were going to smell crazy strong based on how concentrated the scent was coming out of the bottle!
Once your laundry is done, the clothes come out smelling super fresh and feel very soft.
Here are some things I love about it:

*You can SAFELY use this with your children’s flame retardant night clothes.
*It retains your athletic wears’ ability to wick away sweat (it doesn’t affect the specialty materials like some softeners do).
*It doesn’t block your towels’ ability to absorb water (I HATE water repellent towels!!).

 Here’s a little more info:

I haven’t used a softener in years because I have had a hard time dealing with water repellent towels and feeling weird about washing the kids’ pajamas in it, so I was thrilled to try this.
The only complaint I have is that I’d like an unscented version so I could do my son’s laundry with it.  He has eczema and I’m always avoiding scented products with him so I did not use this on his laundry.

    I saw these in the store and wondered what they were… I use bounce drying sheets. I can’t wait to try the crystals on my blankets and sheets! I love that the scent last for weeeks!

    i currently use the bounce dryer bar. i think that purex complete would be better because i won’t have to have the plastic dryer bar holder in my dryer anymore. i am afraid of it being a fire hazard. thanks! clallen at ntin dot net

    I currently use snuggle , and I know Purex cristals is going to be better because It doesn’t block the towels’ ability to absorb water

    I use a generic fabric softener sheet. I think this product would be better because you can put it in the wash cycle.

    Right now I use Targets Up and Up brand lavender vanilla scented liquid and dryer sheets – I wonder if the new Purex crystals would be better at cutting static cling we have a lot of that around here.
