Those first few months of pregnancy can be a really miserable time! Between the morning sickness, exhaustion, food aversions, and nervous jitters, it can seem like a never-ending stage of pregnancy. Luckily, there are some ways to avoid feeling so badly.
With my pregnancies, I have never thrown up, but I have always had strong food aversions at the beginning. Sometimes only junk food sounded good and I had some pretty strong cravings.
With my first pregnancy, I wanted hamburgers with lots of pickles and ketchup. With my next one, I wanted cheesy chips! I’m not going to lie, the only food I wanted with this last pregnancy was cereal. After a year and a half of not even having cereal in the house, this shocked me!
Even though the cravings were strong, the aversions were stronger. The thought of eating made me feel like I might lose it. I ended up eating twice a day, usually. I would eat a small breakfast and then a heavier meal in the evening. Between that, I would just try to keep down some water!

Sea-Band Mama
Something that I tried with my first pregnancy was to use Sea-Band products. I am happy to say that Sea-Band now has their own line of products just for pregnant moms called Sea-Band Mama! They are drug-free sources of relief for moms suffering from morning sickness and food aversions. These awesome products can be found at CVS stores.
Sea-Band Mama Ginger Lozenges
Ginger is a well-known ingredient to help squash nausea, and I’m thrilled that this line of products includes it.
Sea-Band Mama Ginger Lozenges were formulated with essential ginger oils to help relieve upset stomach and are free from artificial colors and flavors. They also include folic acid to contribute to a normal maternal tissue growth during pregnancy.
Sea-Band Mama products use no drugs and have no side effects, and are safe for use during pregnancy.
Sea-Band Mama Wrist Bands
Sea-Band Mama wrist bands use acupressure to trigger the P6 Nei Kuan pressure point on the inside of the wrist to alleviate nausea from morning sickness. I had great luck with this during my first child’s pregnancy! Stimulating this pressure point helps the body to calm nausea and vomiting.
The Sea-Band Mama line provides effective ways to ease morning sickness naturally with drug-free acupressure wristbands and ginger lozenges, used separately or together.
