We love going to LEGOLAND Discovery Center in Grapevine (Right in the heart of Dallas / Fort Worth Texas). My kids have spent many hours building creations, riding fun rides, racing self-made LEGO cars, watching 4D movies, and checking out the exhibits, like their Ninjago Training Camp, which will be there throughout 2015.
We can’t wait until we can go back to the water playground Pirate Beach, which opened for the season on May 1st!
Something really neat is going to be at LEGOLAND Discovery Center, and I wanted to share it with you since it requires active participation from LEGO fanatics to build the massive mosaic! You’ll find the press release below with all the information you need so you don’t miss this exciting event.
Take Part In Building a Massive LEGO Mosaic at LEGOLAND Discovery Center
CALLING ALL LEGO® BRICK FANATICS!TAKE PART IN BUILDING A GIANT LEGO® MOSIACWITH LEGOLAND® DISCOVERY CENTERAS IT HITS THE ROAD THIS SUMMER
Grapevine, Texas (May 7, 2015) – LEGOLAND® Discovery Center Dallas/Fort Worth is celebrating the opening of the new Pirate Beach water playground feature by hitting the road and inviting members of the public to help create a giant, pirate-themed LEGO® brickmosaic. Armed with 82,944 bricks, the LEGOLAND Discovery Center team will enlist the help of LEGO® brick fanatics of all ages to build an 8-foot tall by 30-foot wide mosaic. Similar to a paint-by-numbers system, the public will use bricks to build small LEGO® tiles that will combine together to create the massive image.
With more than 2,400 man hours of work to be done, the LEGOLAND Discovery Center Master Model Builder, along with a special team of the area’s most talented kid builders from the attraction’s Creative Crew, will be onsite at stops around Dallas-Fort Worth to recruit the public to help create the pirate-themed mosaic masterpiece.
