VeggieTales: The Little House That Stood DVD is out now!

This spring, we are always on the look out for fun movies to watch on rainy days. Veggie Tales: The Little House That Stood is such an adorable show, and we recently watched it when we were unable to head outside. The movie was just released on March 5th and retails for only $14.99. It would make an awesome gift, or a fun spring surprise for any kid! My kids and I had to watch this movie on the computer because we still haven’t unpacked our regular DVD player, but that’s another story for another day. 🙂

My kids love VeggieTales movies, and so do I. There’s such a special magical quality about it, and a mix of fun graphics, a great message, and quick wit that really engages everyone in the family. This one is no different – it is fun and hilarious! Best of all, I know my kids are learning great, Bible-centered life lessons while they watch along with their favorite characters they’ve loved for years. Everyone one of my kids enjoyed this film, from my 11 month old up to my almost 8 year old. There’s something for everyone.

The story is a new twist and take on the old Three Little Pigs story, told only as the quirky characters of VeggieTales could! My kids were rolling in the floor laughing at the screen, and I was cracking up at some of the more hidden humor in it. So many of the funniest moments were subtle enough that probably only the parents and more quick-witted kids would catch. Lucky for us, it’s a good, clean show that we all loved. As usual, I probably was more into it than the kids, but that’s normal for me and kid shows. 🙂 I especially loved the special feature that retold the Humpty Dumpty story. It’s a must-watch, so don’t skip it!In all, the message is great. With God’s help, one can stand up to problems, no matter how great. It’s such a basic, powerful message to teach kids. There are even some toe-tapping musical numbers in here to keep you dancing to the beat.My family loved this movie, and yours will, too!!!What is your favorite VeggieTales movie??
