Don’t you just love how most of these are dollar store crafts? I do! I think it’s almost like playing Chopped, but craft style, when you hit up the dollar store to come up with a craft idea. Sometimes the things they have there seem random, but as you can see from above, they can be used to make some gorgeous and useful pieces.
While you’re at the dollar store, don’t forget to pick up the things to make my Halloween Hands – an edible Halloween craft to share with family and friends. I took a memory from my childhood and recreated it in a really inexpensive way. My kids loved the hands and have asked me to make them every year since!
I’ll have to try some of the crafts listed above to start some more new, cheap DIY traditions. This time, I’m really going to have the kids help me out. A few of these would make excellent homemade Christmas gifts with a little bit of tweaking.
Happy crafting!
