Smoothies are a terrific way to get a ton of great vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants. Not only that, but they’re quick, easy, and practically everyone likes them. I made this smoothie recipe during the week to enjoy while still staying paleo and without causing a huge sugar spike.
I hope you’ll give it a try – even with the surprise ingredient! The taste is great, but like my son says, “Ohhhh, the second drink tastes better.” Give your tastebuds a couple of tries to really get the flavor.

We have smoothies several times a week. In the summer, it’s a great side to pretty much any meal and makes a terrific snack or breakfast replacement. We have all sorts of combinations that we like and I always try to include at least one vegetable and one “extra” like flax seed meal or chia seeds for a powerful punch of extra goodness that the kids (and picky husband) won’t notice.
I was sent a complimentary set of 4 Indoor/Outdoor Chardonnay Wine Glasses and knew immediately that I’d love to serve smoothies in them to make them a little more fancy and fun. They’re from Wine Enthusiast, which has pretty much any wine accessory you can think of. They have coolers, wine racks, wine barrel furniture, glassware, home decor, and tons more. Check them out!
