This book was a great, quick read. I would highly recommend it to high school or college girls (and maybe guys too!) and certainly anyone dealing with junior high, senior high, or young college kids.
This book basically goes over the Biblical promises for sex inside of a marriage. It answers the question, “What are you waiting for?” for the young adults facing the decision of whether or not to wait until marriage. It discusses the different types of intimacy discussed in its ancient languages from the Bible (before it was translated and lost a lot of its meaning). Simply put, all sex is not the same and it’s important to understand the differences!
The book addresses all types of promiscuity and takes a look at what the Bible has to say about it. For ladies that may have already gone through some purity struggles, it also comes up with a plan on how to tell Mr. Right about your past and to ask forgiveness for not saving intimate things for him for the marriage bed as well.
Not to get too TMI here, but I did save myself for marriage and am very glad that I did. A book like this would have been a very positive way to reinforce my beliefs and let me know that the choice I was making was indeed the right one and that it was Biblically sound. It is an encouraging and forgiving book for teens and young adults (specifically young women, but I could certainly see the benefit in young men reading it as well!).
I received this book for free from WaterBrook Multnomah Publishing Group for this review. The opinions expressed are my own.
