This website has content from some of the biggest names in homeschooling, such as Kim Kautzer (of WriteShop Inc.), Terri Johnson (of Knowledge Quest), Malia Russell (of homemaking911.com), and many, many more. These experts provide lesson plans, teaching tips, and fresh ideas every month! Topics addressed include grammar, music, geography, writing, history, art, and tons more.
There are numerous resources available for folks that like to use lapbooking in their homeschool as well. Lapbooking can be a great way to engage students in material and can provide easy review and self-testing of the information.

I truly enjoy using this website. The features I find most useful for my homeschool are the Daily Grammar and Daily Writing sections. These are just 2 of the many daily lesson plans available on the website, but they are the ones that proved most helpful to us during our summer studies. I love that there are modifications available for older and younger students, so the information can be used for many levels.
Another section that I enjoy using with my kids is the Craft Shelf. It contains many craft projects for students of varying ages grouped by month of the year so that they are seasonally appropriate. This is a great section because I don’t have to search all over for a fun project to do on the fly. They use common materials and are a lot of fun.

The website is easy to navigate and is VAST in what is offered. It’s easy to spend a few hours browsing the site, saving and printing PDFs, and flipping through The Old Schoolhouse Magazine. I love that the layout of the website and I’m sure that you will too! Check out a video site tour.
SchoolhouseTeachers.com is available for just $1 for the first month and then $5.95 per month after that. There are many perks to membership beyond the awesome content on the site itself, such as the fact that after 12 months of consecutive membership, you will receive a $25 gift certificate that can be used in the Totally TOS section of the Old Schoolhouse store.
Not only that, but members have access to download the current Schoolhouse Planners absolutely free! You can download the general planner, primary, intermediate, high school, or special needs planner – or download them all! That’s worth $125 right there, and such an important part of homeschool organization. (I will certainly be using this with my own homeschool this year. I love that the PDF files can be typed into and saved on my computer, so I can change my plans up as needed!) They truly are more than just a school planner, with important lists of information, home organization and planning, and more.
Members also receive access to The Old Schoolhouse magazines online, including back issues. Additionally, members receive access to free e-books designed to help out the homeschooling family! There are SO many perks to being a member!
