If you’ve been around the internet for a while, you have undoubtedly stumbled upon PopCap Games. They are home to the most awesome and addictive gaming goodies available! Have you ever heard of…ohh… I don’t know… Plants Vs. Zombies, Bookworm, or Peggled? Yeah, those are all from the geniuses at PopCap!
The cool thing now is that they have moved beyond just being online games! Now you can download copies of your favorites, download apps of them, or you could even play many games on your DS or XBox 360! How awesome is that?? They’ve really moved beyond being an online gaming site and have made it easy to take your favorites along with you anywhere you go.
The games are inexpensive and LOADS of fun. There is a game that anyone on your gift list would be glad to receive and it’s a very easy way to send a fun gift to someone far away.. or hard to buy for!
My favorite PopCap game is probably BookWorm because I love word games. I also like feeling like I am using my brain for once….something I miss from my pre-kid days. haha My kids (and husband) are addicted to Plants Vs. Zombies, though. My kids have even created little characters for each of their grandparents and have tried to teach each grandparent how to play. THAT is priceless. 🙂

If you have kids (or know kids) that would absolutely ADORE being the star in their own books, you have got to check out Champion Me Books! E-Books will run you under 10 bucks each or you could get it printed as a soft cover book for $26.95. They have 4 interesting and fun books to choose from.
You get to customize what the character looks like, pick the gender, and pick the name…so your kid becomes the star! How fun is that? My kids loved reading their stories that I made for them. We got the PDF/E-Book option and they liked their little character. The stories were really engaging and different, too.

Finally, I’d like to recommend the Alvin and the Chipmunks: Chipwrecked video game as a great family gift. This game is obviously meant to coincide with the release of the movie of the same name and my kids can’t wait to see the movie… I know that the game would be a huge hit!
My daughter was THRILLED to play this game today and enjoyed every second of it. It is a dancing game that you can purchase for Kinect for XBox 360, Nintendo Wii, or Nintendo DS gaming platforms. We played our Wii and my little girl couldn’t get enough. I even joined her in some hip shakin’, groovy wiggle action that made this pregnant lady tired after 10 minutes. Yep, I’m that out of shape. hahaha

This game retails between $20-$40 depending on which platform you are purchasing it for and can be found at retailers everywhere! It would be great exercise and a fun way to sing some of your favorite tunes right along with Alvin and the gang. 🙂 Check it out and tell me what you think.
