Something we do without even really thinking about it is that we have a wind energy plan through our electric company. Our price is comparable to regular energy plans, but our money goes into funding 100% renewable energy. Where we live, there are lots of wind turbines, too.. Good thing because it is SO windy out here and we might as well be doing something with the energy!
Another way to pull energy naturally is to use portable solar power. There are many devises you can use on the go to charge up and power your electronics! They are getting more and more affordable as they gain popularity in the mainstream buying market I think.
What about solar panels on your house or a solar water heater? I think those would be great and I’ve watched a lot of shows and internet documentaries on living off the grid. I think it would be amazing!
Of course many people are using energy-saving light bulbs these days, too. I don’t mind them in most of my switches, but I have an impossible time using them in any of my dimmer switches and haven’t been able to find compatible bulbs locally.
We always try and use good ol’ natural sunlight as well when we can! West Texas is very sunny almost every single day, so it really cuts down on having to turn the lights on during a good portion of the day!
What are some ways that you normally save money while also going “green”?

Saving energy is one of the goal of every household today, since electricity price’s is skyrocketing that makes our head aches.. I am a solar panel user and I am happy with what result I’ve been receiving every end of the month and its cool, because I can design my roof using it… soo great..
