Teaching preschoolers the alphabet can be a lot of fun! Here is a cute and simple printable to help with the letter A. There are no fancy supplies needed for this A is for Ambulance letter craft.
Kids can even help with making it. For younger kids, go ahead and have the pieces all printed and traced and cut. Older children will enjoy helping with the cutting and decorating.
A is for Ambulance – Letter Craft
You Will Need:
- Craft Foam in white, red, black, and yellow
- Glue (can use hot glue or white school glue)
- Scissors
- Black Marker
- Paper or Cardstock
- Letter A Template, printed out
- Ambulance Template, printed out
To Make:

After gathering all of the supplies, you will first download the letter A template and print onto paper or cardstock.

Cut out the letter A and trace onto the craft foam. Cut the letter out.

Print the ambulance template and cut out. Trace template onto white craft foam and cut out. (Tip: Cut straight across the bottom because it will be easier to add wheels later.)

Cut out shapes from the yellow craft foam for the light on top of the ambulance and for the front and back of the ambulance. Glue in place.

Cut a medical cross from red craft foam and glue in place.

Cut tires from black craft foam and glue onto the ambulance. Cut two smaller white circles and glue into the center of the black circles.

Use a black marker to add details to complete the ambulance.

Glue ambulance onto the letter A.
