If you’re like me, video games (and maybe even video gaming systems) are up there on your holiday gift list! It seems like our kids get more and more into technology as the years go on, so I want to make sure I can find things that keep their interest and are also appropriate to play during the time we allow them for screen time.
Activision recently had a Family Game Summit and discussed how to fit games into real life. It was a great discussion and gave me a lot to think about. If you want to view it, just check out the link above!
If you’re looking for some gift suggestions, here are a few available at Target and other stores near and far.
Wreck-It Ralph is available for the Nintendo Wii, Nintendo DS, and the Nintendo 3DS. It retails between $24.99-$39.99, but look for some amazing deals on it between now and Christmas as well! If your kids loved the movie, keep the fun going with this exciting video game. I know my kids will be STOKED when they see that they’re getting it this Christmas!!
Angry Birds: Trilogy is available for Playstation 3, Nintendo 3DS, and Xbox 360. It retails between $29.99-$39.99. Again, check out the sales! I know Target has this on sale for $24.99 for Xbox right now! My kids are in love with Angry Birds and have mysteriously purchased booster packs for this game (and no one owns up to it when I get the receipt later LOL!) on my phone, so it will be fun to let them have at it on the video game version. I only wish this was out for the Wii!!
Skylanders Giants Starter Pack. This is on many platforms, and there’s also a Portal Owners Pack available. If you have a Nintendo Wii, Wii U, 3DS, or a Playstation 3 or Xbox 360, you can grab up this awesome set! Check out Target‘s great deal right now at 35% off! The Starter Pack includes the game, portal of power, 3 Skylanders figures, 1 character collector poster, 3 sticker sheets with secret codes, and 3 trading cards! This is a bundle of fun that is sure to please.
