Galleria Dallas is home to the United State’s largest indoor Christmas tree. It has around 10,000 orgnaments, half a million LED lights, and a 10 foot star topper! There is an ice skating rink surrounding the base of this awesome Christmas tree. It’s a magical location for visitors to have fun and enjoy the beautiful and festive decorations.
I was recently invited to a blogger preview of the Galleria Dallas Christmas decorations and got to learn all about the entertainment, activities, and special events at the mall. My family had a great time, and I wanted to share with you some of the highlights.
The Largest Indoor Christmas Tree in the Country
Each Saturday at 6PM, until Christmas, you can enjoy Macy’s Grand Tree Lighting Celebration. This awesome event features performances, fun acts, and visits from Olympic and National champions!
You can also enjoy the Illumination Celebration Light Show at the Christmas tree. It can be enjoyed from all levels of the mall surrounding the massive tree, and is Daily at noon, 2pm, 4pm, 6pm and 8 pm until Christmas Eve. (No 8 pm shows on Sundays) Watch the Christmas lights dance to music!
Slappy’s Holiday Circus
Slappy’s Holiday Circus began on Black Friday at 1pm and 3pm, and now they are performing each Saturday until Christmas at 1pm and 3pm on the first level of Galleria Dallas. This is TOTALLY free, and the show is bound to be magical and fun. My children LOVED watching the clowns as they joked around with each other and performed some cute tricks and gags.
Santa Claus Village
While you’re at the Galleria Dallas this holiday season, please don’t forget to go see Santa Claus! They have gone to great care to make the experience absolutely wonderful this year. If you find yourself stuck in line waiting to see the big man in red, do not fret! The line is set up sort of like a little maze, complete with several interactive shadowbox-type stations.
