I was recently sent a super fun package containing Rise of the Guardians, as well as a few other fun items for a nice family movie night. Rise of the Guardians is a family movie that includes all of the kids’ fantastical characters from childhood: Santa Claus, Tooth Fairy, Easter Bunny, Jack Frost, and even Sandman.

We got a hot chocolate kit, along with some mugs, and some really unique Santa nesting dolls! We watched this movie as a family, and a warm mug of hot cocoa was just perfect considering it was just about freezing outside when we watched this.
The movie is rated PG, but I found that my kids (from 1 1/2 up to age 8) were all totally engrossed in it and not scared or upset during the movie at all. We don’t “do” Santa, the Tooth Fairy, etc, in our house, so they enjoyed watching the movie and finding out what these characters were all about. (Now they understand their friends more when they talk about them!)
An ideal holiday gift, the RISE OF THE GUARDIANS DVD is available in festive holiday packaging along with a delightful marching elf wind-up toy, inspired by the adorable elves seen in the film (while supplies last—quantities are limited). The DVD also features an hour of new bonus content, including a multi-chapter, behind-the-scenes look at the making of the epic and merry elf greetings.
The animation is vibrant, colorful, and well-done. The story is magical and fun for all ages. I love the sense of humor used in the story line. Y’all know how important it is to me to be able to enjoy the same movies that my kids love. This one did NOT disappoint. After we watched it, the kids were already asking to watch it again.
