Earth Day is upon us! As the beautiful spring days warm up and the flowers bloom, I can’t help but think about how we can take better care of our Earth. This month is the perfect opportunity to teach kids about conservation, recycling, and all about reusing materials that others might just toss into the trash. It’s also a great time to talk about respecting wildlife and native species of plants and animals.
If you happen to have a crafty kid on your hand, or you just want to have them participate in a hands-on project to remind them of Mother Earth, try these Earth Day crafts to make with kids. There are activities for children of all ages. These ideas would be perfect for your scout troop, church group, homeschool, preschool class, or playdate, too.
