Right ahead of the holiday season, I was sent a whole slew of Wubble products (perfect for holiday gifts) to review in exchange for my honest opinion on them, and I can’t wait to share my thoughts.
Wubbles Rumblers Get Kids Off Screens
I’ll just jump right into it. My youngest child celebrated a birthday last weekend, and these rough and tumble, hands-on toys came at the PERFECT time. I gave my son a pile of toys that he went crazy over.
To start, he got 3 Wubble Rumblers:
- Wubble Rumblers Wrestler
- Wubble Rumblers Inflatable Air Ninja, and the
- Wubble Rumblers Inflatable Karate Chop
Each of these retail for $12.99 each. They are VERY easy to inflate, and come with detailed instructions. Karate Chop comes with a pump, and the other 2 come with inflation nozzles. They are for 6 years old and up to play with. Guess what? Each Wubble Rumbler inflates to THREE FEET TALL!
My 6 year old was freaking out over these giant inflatable toys because he is so wild anyway, and these made PERFECT “guys” to battle his brothers with. My 8 and 11 year olds have been playing with him with these guys all week long, play fighting and laughing up a storm.
I think they like Karate Chop the most, because you actually insert your hand into it and use it like it is a giant hand to karate chop your opponents with. With the Wrestler and Ninja, they usually just place them in front of themselves and charge at each other to get started playing.
I love that my kids are getting off of their screens to have some good old fashioned brother combat in the living room and upstairs in their play area. My sons have used them to entertain themselves even when playing on the computer was an option – it’s just that fun to chop, kick, punch, and otherwise ram into their brothers with their new Wubble Rumblers.
Another one we didn’t receive, but looks super fun, is the Wubble Rumbler Fist.
For the price, I really do think these guys make a good gift, either for a birthday present or a good holiday gift that comes in a SUPER easy to wrap box that’s a pretty decent size. I can’t think of any downsides with this. I was afraid that our dogs might accidentally pop them, but luckily the rowdiness of my boys and their marathon fighting sessions has kept both dogs terrified of the Wubble Rumblers, and they avoid them completely. That works for me, because I hope to have these toys around for a long time!
If your kids are feeling couped up or restless about having to stay inside, grab a couple of these, and that will turn around quickly. My older kids have been playing with them, too, but they are too ‘cool’ to do that in front of me. That said, I would say that kids ages 6-12 would probably like these the most, but I could see them being fun for older kids, too, including moms and dads.
Fuzzy Wubble Toys to Check Out
The next items we received were a bit of a surprise. I knew that I would be getting a few extra goodies, but I wasn’t sure which Wubble toys we would get. Whoever picked them out chose really well, because we got the Fuzzy Wubble Shark (named Spike) and the Fuzzy Wubble Jiggler Narwhal(named Sprinkles).
Spike the Shark retails for $17.99. He comes with a nozzle to inflate him, and my son thought it was crazy to have such a round, cuddly toy! He’s been keeping it in his bed to sleep with. The outside material of this toy is SO SOFT, especially on his fins. He’s more fun than your average snuggle toy, because he’s almost like holding a really comfortable ball.
My boys have been playing hot potato with this guy all week when they’re supposed to be sleeping. I’d say he’s a hit. This Fuzzy Wubble Shark is meant for children ages 4 and up.
Finally, the Fuzzy Wubble Jiggler Narwhal is adorable! She’s the cutest little narwhal with a melted ice cream cone horn and big, happy eyes. This toy does not need to be inflated. It is also super soft and is like a soft ball. I have caught my (mischievous) birthday boy hurling this one at his brothers.
He loves that it is kind of bouncy, so it’s even more satisfying to see it strike the brother, hit the floor, and bounce away from them. He’s been most delighted when it hits them and bounces back toward him so he can do it again. I’m not saying that I like that he’s throwing this at people, but I did make some observations anyway. These Fuzzy Wubble Jigglers are also intended for kids ages 4 and up and retail for $12.99 each.
Any of these Wubble products would make awesome gifts for your girls and boys. There are several variations of Fuzzle Wubble toys, such as a Monkey, Cat, and T-Rex, and tiny little Jiggler Kitten, Shark, and Unicorn. They have several other types of products as well.
Final Thoughts
Overall, I love all of the toys we received. My son loved the pile of presents, but more importantly, he wanted to play with them RIGHT AWAY. That’s always a win for me, because I am used to some things getting pushed aside and forgotten about. No, these toys were BEGGING to be played with. They’ve been a hit ever since he unwrapped them.
Be sure to be on the lookout for these so you can grab a few to give to the kids on your list.
