So our house is going on the market Monday or Tuesday…. Eeek! I think I’m ready… I’ve been looking around at the housing market lately and have been seeing some weird trends, though. While make other places, like Santa Cruz homes, have seen sharp declines that have been hard to get a handle on… Prices are going up a little in Dallas, but sales are not great…. I’m just hoping that our market will do well.
According to our realtor, it’s swinging back into a seller’s market again. The people across the street just listed their home this week for a full $30k more than we’re listing our house for… They DO have a bigger lot and it’s more updated and they have a huge workshop/shed, but still! I am hoping that folks will look at that house and then look across the street and wonder about ours… and see how much cheaper ours is. lol Hopefully we don’t look like the bargain bin house, though. 🙂
I hear that most people are getting FHA loans and that they have weird, picky appraisals…I’m sort of nervous about this because we’re not handy and I don’t know what repairs we’ll be able to do…you know, without hiring people. :-/
What has been your experience as a seller?
Ugh… That pretty much sums up my selling experience… Nearly bankrupted us trying to get out of our last house. 🙁

I hope it works out for you, too! Houses are generally going pretty cheap around here. (Eastern Oklahoma)
