My kids absolutely love the computer, but I’ve laid down a lot of ground rules about their computer usage to make sure it doesn’t go overboard. They have a penchant for online video games so I make sure they only have access to our ClearInternet for an hour a night and I also check in with them from time to time.
I’ve installed some software (they don’t know) on their computer so I can track exactly what they’re typing and who they’re talking to, and that’s really important to me since internet security is such a huge concern nowadays. As a parent, I want to make sure my kids are safe when they’re surfing the net, even in their own bedrooms.
I’m glad they like technology so much because it will definitely serve them well in the future since the digital age is more than upon us. Who knows, maybe they’ll grow up to be graphic designers or developers or something equally successful and marketable in this type of economic climate! I’m so proud of my kids!
