Seriously, let’s face it – my family does eat quite a few packaged foods. I won’t tell you exactly what we ate for lunch today, but let’s just say it came in a box from the freezer!
Today, Parents magazine today revealed its picks for the “25 Best Packaged Foods of 2014.” They said that after scouring the supermarkets for new, family-friendly items that contain reasonable levels of fat and sodium and contain no artificial colors or flavors, the Parents team asked more than 75 kids and parents to partake in a taste test and chose their favorites.

Does your family eat these foods?
Truthfully, there are several products on the list I have never heard of before. There are also a few that I don’t think I would feed our family.
How often does your family eat pre-packaged foods? Which ones are your favorites?
We eat several on the list. The kids eat more prepackaged food than I do. I would eventually love to not eat any but it seems like I would have to be at the grocery store daily and nobody has time for that!

I’m surprised to see Jif peanut butter on that list. I haven’t checked, but I’m pretty sure they add some gross stuff to their peanut butter!
Thanks for sharing, I am always striving to feed my family the BEST foods but often times I have to resort to convenience and I’m glad to have this list as a resource!

Hi Jenn – Honey Fig Gelato is one of my favorties – hope to see it at HEB or Brookshire Bros. soon!
