It’s been a bit since I updated you all on my pregnancy, so here we go!
32 Weeks Pregnant
I’m 32 weeks, 2 days today. I’ve been experiencing a slew of symptoms, but usually they just come and go. My current complaints (haha) are: heartburn, achy hips when I try and lay down on one side or the other, getting up to pee at least 3 times a night, and Baby loves to be mostly transverse, but also dabbles in breech and head down – so I never really feel balanced and my stomach is huge! I’ve also been feeling really sluggish and somewhat exhausted more often. Some of this could probably be explained by the 33.4 pounds that I have gained so far, but a lot of it probably just has to do with the summer heat, my heavy workload at home of chores and responsibilities, and the strains of carrying around a baby that’s probably around 4 pounds by now.
I went to the chiropractor yesterday, and she told me that my uterus feels really, really roomy and big. She said it doesn’t feel hard like I have a bunch of extra amniotic fluid, but it just feels stretchy like someone who has had a “ton” of kids (she said 8 or 9…ha!). I got a massage before my adjustment, and I guess while I was in the little foam cut out lying face down, the baby decided to scootch into a good position. The chiropractor decided to tape up my belly again to help restrict all that space for the little guy and offer a little more comfort and support for me. This will hopefully encourage him to stay head down and make me feel more balanced. She did a regular adjustment, too, and I feel pretty good!
What’s Next?
I’m trying to take things one day at a time. I’m starting to feel more and more like just staying at home and being with my family rather than going out and doing anything. I’m starting to think about all of the things I still need to get, like a baby swing, and how I need to go ahead and wash some cloth diapers and get that all set up in my bedroom. I’m not stressing too much about any of it, because it’s not too hard at this point to just wing it. 🙂
