Giveaway is now CLOSED. Thank you!
I cannot TELL you how many times I have taken my kids to the pediatrician only to have the doctor whip out a devise to clean out their ears *just* so he could see in there! My kids have the grossest ear gunk! YUCK. My husband isn’t much better, so I guess that’s where the kidlets inherited this annoying trait. I do realize that ear wax does have certain benefits (which is obviously why it is produced in our bodies, I get it!), but I also know that it can be safely removed if done correctly to reduce irritation, aches, and hearing loss due to wax buildup.
When I was approached by Clinere to do a review, I was pretty quick to say, “YES, PLEASE!” I thought it would be a good idea to try it out on the fam before offering up a free package to a lucky reader. 🙂
What is it like?
It is a 2-sided device. One side has a scoopy end that scoops up wax to gently get it out. The other end is good for relieving ear itch and getting dry skin out. Please remember to only clean the entrance of your ear. Let’s not poke it in too far and damage ear drums, okay? 😉
Did it hurt? My testers included my DD (shown, 5 1/2), my DS (the top left foot in the pic. lol, almost 4), and my hubster (aged 31 if you wanted to know. haha). My daughter said it didn’t hurt at all, but she said the larger “scratchy” side was too rough and asked me not to use that on her. My son started giggling hysterically when I put it in and proved he’s a)weird b)sensitive and c)not a good tester for this product. 🙂 My husband said he liked it. He said it was more durable and “rougher” than he expected (I believe he was talking about the scratcher side), but that he did like the design.
Did it work? I asked my husband what he thought. It was easy to use and “did the job” according to him! I agree. Great product! My daughter’s ears were easy to clean and what I liked was that I could *see* what I was doing. Instead of just pushing ear wash in and swishing it around blindly like with a big ole cotton swab, I could see where and what I was “scooping” out of there.
Final thoughts…. I am impressed! I like the product a lot and am glad we got to try it out! I hope to purchase more when we run out. We don’t do ear-cleaning a whole lot, maybe once a week, so this pack will last us a while! 🙂

I’d use it on my children/wax factories! Currently we use peroxide and warm water in a blue bulb syringe.

I saw your post on the MBC. Sounds like a good product. I would use it on my husband. He has unusual wax build up. He either has to have a doctor flush his ears out or I’ll flush them out about every six months. It really effects his hearing. I wonder how much wax you can get out with clinere ear cleaners?

My kids! I have to clean their ears once a week and this sounds much safer and easier than cotton swabs.
