Review: Granola Gourmet bars (and a giveaway!)

So I got to try out some yummy bars from Granola Gourmet and I have to say that I’m pretty impressed!

I got to try one of each of their “ultimate” flavors, which included Ultimate Berry, Ultimate Cran-Orange, Ultimate Mocha Fudge, and Ultimate Fudge Brownie.  The kids really wanted to try the Ultimate Berry first, so I went ahead and let them go for it!

What was the verdict?

They LOVED it!

My husband tried the mocha bar and enjoyed it.  I asked him to describe it and he said, “Well…. it tastes like a lot of oats and chocolate….” So I had to ask him if it tasted like mocha or not and he said, “Oh yeah, and mocha.  Yeah.  Simple, clean flavors… What you would expect from a granola bar named Mocha Fudge.”
We ate the other 2 flavors at a playdate and really did like those too!  The bars are moist and sort of crumbly, but they get eaten so quickly that it really doesn’t matter. 🙂
I love the simplicity of the ingredient list!
Ultimate Berry’s ingredients, for example, are as follows:

Product Ingredients: Organic oats, organic agave syrup, blueberries (blueberries, apple juice concentrate, sunflower oil), almonds, organic sunflower seeds, organic flax seeds, soy protein isolate, olive oil, natural flavors, strawberry extract.

    I like that they are Wheat, Dairy and Soy free! My family is about to do an elimination diet, so we’d still be able to eat these! It’s nice to know that there is a tasty treat that will still meet our food requirements!

    The thing that stands out most to me on their site is that all there products are dairy free!! It’s a huge plus for me, my stepson can’t have any dairy

    I REALLY want to try the Original Recipe Chocolate Espresso – and no wheat or dairy! Impressive. I know people who need that and I’m happy there are such good choices out there for those who need it, and those who just think they sound good!
