I have never had the pleasure of dining at a Chuy’s as the small west Texas town I’ve lived in for the better part of 15 years doesn’t have one… but I have been browsing the Chuy’s website and the whole place looks like a lot of fun and the food looks delicious!
Chuy’s has been a mainstay in the Austin area. Chuy’s has the craziest décor, complete with massive amounts of Elvis memorabilia (this sounds like something my mom and grandma would love already!), yummyTex-Mex, and their food fullosophy triumphs all!
Chuy’s is so serious about their food that they make salsa every hour, their tortillas are hand-rolled and every August, they send their kitchen managers to Hatch, New Mexico, when their green chiles are harvested, to ensure that only the freshest and most flavorful peppers make the trip back! Now can you say that about any other restaurant? That’s just the beginning!

We *love* Chuy’s. 🙂 They have a creamy jalapeno sauce that is SO addicting. You usually have to ask for it in the restaurant – in fact their website calls it “a sauce so special you have to know someone to get it” – but I highly recommend it. 🙂 (It’s only a little spicy – I don’t like jalapeno anywhere else.)

I really love Chuy’s. Mexican food is my all time favorite and this really hits the spot. The portions are huge, unlimited chips and sauces. I was completely stuffed by the end of my dinner. I would love to come again with my family next time.
Chuy’s is our favorite Tex-Mex restaurant! Sooo good!
