If you’re like most families across the great state of Texas (or heck, anywhere!), you probably love getting out in the warmer months and watching some professional sports. It’s so exciting to watch and the kids’ eyes light up in wonder! Not to mention how exciting it is to have team spirit, hang out with some fun mascots, and eat stadium food. (hotdogs, anyone?)
Here is west Texas, we have some excellent professional teams!
We have the Midland Rockhounds and the West Texas United Sockers – woohoo!
The West Texas United Sockers have a great event coming up within the week and if you are in the area, you should definitely check it out:
The Sockers will host FC Dallas in a premier friendly match on Tuesday, June 21st at Grande Communications Stadium. Reserve your seats today to see Major League Soccer in West Texas! Seats are $12.00 for adults and $8.00 for children (3-12). Call 520-2255 to find out how your youth team or group can conduct a fundraiser by selling groups of FC Dallas-Sockers tickets in advance.
The Midland Rockhounds is Minor League Baseball at its best! So much fun at every game. They always offer great group packages (some include all you can eat dinners – YUM!) and I love that they have a playground for the kiddos. Don’t forget about Thirsty Thursdays (half price drinks).
The West Texas United Sockers and Midland Rockhounds have generously donated a prize package worth over $200! It will include game tickets, shirts, and caps. What a prize pack!!
