This is really REAL, guys!!

Hey, folks!!

Well here I am, several hours away from the place I lived for half of my life…
We are currently staying with my in-laws.  Today we looked at 3 rental properties and tomorrow we’ll be looking at around 4 more. 
Hubs faxed in his info for a background check last week for a new job and today he had to do his drug test.  It was a simple hair collection type but the bummer was that they had it at an urgent care clinic and we got there around lunch time…. so here the hubs was, sitting amongst all the people needing urgent care on their mid-day break.  Whew!  We sat in the car and waited… then tried a taco place we’d heard of but never tried.  (Needless to say, my diet has been OUT of the stinkin’ WINDOW the past several days!!!!)

Our house closing FINALLY went through yesterday…. the funds arrived in our bank today – it is OFFICIAL!  I am so relieved!

I got a chance to say goodbye to several of my dear friends and am keeping in touch on facebook and via text with others…

I can’t wait to get plugged in once we decide which community we want to settle down in. 🙂  I am actually starting to get really, really excited about this.  I cried for about 45 minutes on the way over here, but I think I’m doing better.  (Although I did bawl this morning when my kids called my mom earlier and asked her to come over after work – that is so not even close to possible anymore 🙁  The kids don’t “get” it yet…)
