Unicorn Play Dough Mat & Coloring Page Numbers 1-5
As a Play Dough mat, your child will be filling in the little squares with the correct number of little clay balls or pieces. As a coloring page, your little artist can color in the correct number of stars, fill in the numeral, color the unicorn, and practice their handwriting by filling in the missing number. If you want, you can use the mats for both coloring and play dough at the same time.
I recommend laminating these sheets if you would like to be able to use them multiple times. When you do this, they are sturdier and you can use dry erase markers as a coloring mat and won’t have to worry about a crumpled up paper with PlayDoh.
Children love hands-on projects. This is a good way for them to use their fine motor skills for practicing handwriting and penmanship and creating little pieces of play dought for the grid. They’ll also be able to work on math skills with counting and number identification. One-to-one correspondence activities are great for making the abstract idea of numbers something more concrete. It’s great for early math skills to work on number correspondence this way. The best part is that they’ll be using materials that they LOVE to use and have a fun unicorn character to color at the same time.
Feel free to print and use these as many times as you would like by clicking the link following or on either image in this post: Unicorn Play Dough Mat & Coloring Page Numbers 1-5.
