This post brought to you by Hiltons of Branson. All opinions are 100% mine.
I’ve been thinking a lot about vacation spots lately and I have to say that from what I have heard, Branson, Missouri would be a beautiful place to go. Have you ever been? My dad lives pretty close by there and goes there about once a month or so to go to some of the entertainment hot spots.
I would love to visit the Branson Theatre District, the Tanger Outlet Mall, and Lake Taneycomo! I am sure my kids would love it, but I kind of want to go on a no-kids-allowed trip for once. 😉
If I did decide to take the kids, though, they have a great spring special going on right now. Both the Hilton Promenade at Branson Landing and Hilton Branson Convention Center Hotel offer tempting packages that include two adult tickets and two children’s tickets (for kids ages 4 to 11 – woohoo, Heath is free!) for two full days of fun at Silvery Dollar City. The package also includes a $25 food and beverage voucher for Level 2 Steakhouse located on the second floor of the Hilton Branson Convention Center Hotel. (YUM!) This two-night, three-day package starts at $455.00 (plus tax), making family fun more affordable AND pretty much all-inclusive which leaves the guess work out of it.
These hotels are GORGEOUS! Just looking at the pictures has me drooling!! Their lobbies and their POOLS! AHH! I could spend a ton of time there in pure bliss! I think I would want to stay in one of the one bedroom condos with hubby and leave the kids with some grandparents. 😉
I guess that if we went WITH the kids, I’d probably do the package I mentioned above with the kids. Our trip would probably look like this:
Day 1:
*Arrive at check-in time around 3pm.
*Play in the pool at the hotel.
*Order room service for dinner and unwind in the gorgeous hotel.
Day 2:
*Catch Breakfast at the snack bar.
*Head over to Silver Dollar City for a day FULL of family fun and eat lunch there.
*Come back to the hotel for dinner at Level 2 Steakhouse. (The menu looks sooooo good!)
*Go for another swim before settling in for bed.
Day 3:
*Grab breakfast at Subway.
*Do some shopping at Branson Landing. (I want to hit up The Fudgery, Northwoods Candy Emporium, and Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory… yummm! I’m drooling thinking about it. hehe ) I’d love to see what they have at $5 Christian Books and Five & Dime General Store… Oh, and the Disney Store! I haven’t been to one of those in AGES.
*Head home!
Doesn’t that sound fun??
If we DIDN’T take the kids, I think we’d spend a lot more time enjoying the Theatre District, the outlet mall, and downtown Branson. I desperately miss being connected with good, live theatre performances and think this would definitely be the place to rekindle my love and flair for the dramatic. 😉
What about you? What would you suggest I go see and do in Branson? Have you been? What was your favorite part?
We went last Oct and had a blast. We were planning on going back this Fall but God had other plans, lol. Whether you go with or without the kids, I would recommend doing Ride The Ducks. It was fun for both the adults and kids and it gives you a tour around Branson (I would do this the first day there so you can find out about some of Branson’s hidden treasures that you might want to visit while you’re there).
Oh, how fun!!! That’s a great tip!
