So who else is working on their weight loss journey? I’m still plugging along on My Fitness Pal. I started with 28 lbs to lose and now I’ve already lost 6!
I began with a goal to lose 1.5 lbs/week and it put me at 1200 calories a day (before exercise… when you work out on MFP, it lets you eat back all of your exercise calories because the weight loss is already factored in with the amount of total calories you end up eating without deliberately burning off.)…. I was a bit worried at this # though since I’m still nursing my 21 month old. I decided to change the goal setting in my account to 1 lb/week, so now I’m at 1,390 calories per day instead. Hopefully that’ll keep me from starving myself unintentionally. 😉
I have been making myself walk, do side steps, knee lifts, raise my arms, clap my hands, kick back, etc (a la Leslie Sansone) while catching up on TV shows online like So You Think You Can Dance and The Voice. This allows me to get a great cardio workout for free at home while I’m doing something I would have been doing anyway (but on my butt!).
Works for me!!!
