Have there been moments in your life where you just knew you were going to need to have a Kleenex handy? I’m going through one now, so I’m making sure I stay stocked up. My sweet little 11 pound VBAC baby is turning one in a few days, and I’m looking back with a tear in my eye and a Kleenex tissue in my hand.

Sure, they’re happy tears, but I can’t help but well up with emotions! Ethan is my fifth child, and he’s made me cry these happy tears a lot in his short little life! Sometimes I just get overwhelmed with emotion over silly little things because I know that time is moving fast. I’ll never get these moments back again.

I had a Kleenex in hand when I found out I was pregnant with him and shared the news with my husband. I was smiling through the tears when I shared the happy announcement with my kids after I had my first ultrasound to help date the pregnancy.

Heck, I even cried a little when we announced it to the world the day after April Fool’s Day since I had posted my ultrasound picture on Facebook April 1st! We sure weren’t foolin’. 🙂

I grew to unlikely proportions during his pregnancy, gaining a little over 50 pounds. Little did we know that my little guy wouldn’t really be that little at all.

After laboring all day, things started to get serious and we knew it was GO TIME. Not long after, our sweet little Ethan was born – all 11lb1oz of him! You can bet we had some Kleenex ready for everyone, including my husband, as we began our lives as parents to this new little dude.

Since his birth, Ethan has kept us laughing. He is silly, smart, clever, and a little naughty! He loves to eat little baby snacks and can’t wait to finish up the food on my plate at every meal and snack.

Ethan loves the beach and the swimming pool, but isn’t a huge fan of the bath tub. He loves to splash water and get it everywhere. He also loves playing with toys of all kinds, especially little ones that are so not age appropriate. We spend a good bit of time fishing things out of his precious little mouth.

He’s never been a fan of the baby swing, which threw me for a loop. All of my others LOVED theirs. He is a huge fan of being held to sleep. I get a reminder of his great desire for snuggles every night when the big kids go to bed and I feel like it’s time to get my own chores or work done. He reminds me to slow down and enjoy this sweet time. He won’t be little forever.
Kleenex is there for all of life’s tender moments. I love having some ready for when pesky tears creep up and my nose starts tingling like it always does before a surprise emotional moment pops up.

I could feel some tears coming on when I was looking through all of my old pictures from the past year. I knew I needed reinforcements. I grabbed several packages of Kleenex at Walgreens with lotion that contains aloe to help protect myself from a ruby red nose from all of my crying!

What has made you cried happy tears lately?
It’s hard to believe that it’s already been a year since he was born! I remember all the happy tears from that first year of baby. You definitely need the Kleenex during that time! [client]
