We received a sneak peek of the brand new PC version of the game Aaero earlier this month so we could post a review. I originally got it for my husband, but wouldn’t you know that my 11 year old daughter fell it love with it instead!
Since it was released on April 11th, we have since purchased another one on another Steam account of ours so more of our kids could play! We have the Steam PC version, as I mentioned, but it is available on other platforms. It uses a video game controller to play it. The requirement is listed officially on the website as N.B. A controller with dual analogue sticks is required to play Aaero. (e.g. Xbox 360/One, PlayStation DualShock etc.)
That has made it so much more fun for my family to play. It is currently only $14.99 on Steam and is rated E for Everyone. Even my freshly-turned 5 year old enjoys playing, although he’s not very good at it yet.
Check out this demo:
My boys pooled their money together to buy another Steam code for it for their upstairs computer after they got jealous of my husband just having it on HIS Steam account for the purpose of this review. I personally love that it’s not a gory, scary game. I feel safe letting my little guys and my tweens play.
My kids are a little bummed it is a single player game, because they would LOVE to play together. We are all hoping for a multi-player version maybe sometime in the future!
In the meantime, my husband, daughter, and sons are all thoroughly enjoying the upbeat music, are on the edge of their seats with the action, and love the unique experience.
