I was recently asked to review a few resources from Christianity Cove. You may know this company as a leader in Sunday School lessons and games, but I was hoping to show that their Daily Dilemmas: 26 True-to-Life Devotions for Kids and The Divine Dozen: 12 Parables of Jesus Every Child Should Know ebooks could be used in the homeschool setting as well.

Daily Dilemmas
What’s Inside?
There are 26 different devotions in this ebook. It retails for $29 for the download. Essentially, the book includes 26 scenarios and possible solutions for kids to listen to and choose between. Each scenario has several verses of related scripture for them to read and study to help them to choose the correct solutions. Finally, there are reflections for each scenario
My thoughts
Daily Dilemmas: 26 True-to-Life Devotions for Kids is for children ages 6-12 years old. My 6 year old had a hard time with some of the concepts, so I would say that 6 would be the minimum. Young teens might still enjoy the lessons.
I printed out the devotions to complete with my kids, and we did these at bed time. I love that they require no real prep and no supplies besides the ebook and a Bible. If you really wanted to, you could even look up the verses ahead of time and print them out as well, making each devotion easy to file away in a file folder system if you already do that with homeschool lessons.
I chose to make mine more informal so we could use this time to bond and to dive into the Bible. The devotions cover a lot of different subjects, including bullying, cheating, gossip, jealousy, fairness, comparing yourself to others, and much more. I think this would be great for Sunday School lessons, quick daily or weekly Bible studies, Vacation Bible Schools, or even as short activities to discuss in the car on a long road trip. So long as the person reading the Bible isn’t the driver, it would be a great way to pass the time and get some great discussions going!
The Divine Dozen

What’s Inside?
It retails for $24 for the ebook, which includes 12 parables from the Bible. Each lesson has the parable itself, the corresponding scripture, a lesson which actually puts the parable into modern-day terms for kids to understand easier, and a variety of activities. The activities range from special snacks, to crafts, to worksheets, to games! Each one is different, so the kids are always surprised with something new.
My thoughts
The Divine Dozen: 12 Parables of Jesus Every Child Should Know is a great resource. We enjoyed using it as a family, but I think is would be particularly great for a homeschool co-op Bible study or, of course, for a Sunday School class.
My children, aged 6 and 8, used this with no problems. A few of the activities were too difficult for my 6 year old, but he was able to do and understand practically everything included. I think this program would be great for children ages 6-12. It could easily be adjusted to suit younger or slightly older kids, as well.
We used the lessons twice per week, for about 30 minutes each time. We could have spent longer, but my kids have a short attention span. They were able to read the real scripture, and then listen to the lesson. The lessons brought it home for them because it was more relatable, using real children in the stories. They loved the activities, especially the ones that they were able to use scissors for. My daughter loved doing word puzzles.

Final Words
Christianity Cove has created a ton of wonderful resources to teach children more about God’s word through Bible study. My family has benefited from these lessons over the past several weeks. I am glad that we have them, because now my kids are asking more questions and learning to navigate their way through their new Bibles as well.
Christianity Cove is not just for Sunday Schools! I recommend giving it a shot for your next co-op, or for your family. They have several different options.
