I can hardly believe it, but we’re celebrating the birth of my 3rd child today.  He is a truly special little dude and has brought so much love and laughter into our lives.

He is smart, funny, silly, has really cool moves, is endearing, loving, kind, helpful, sweet, and an amazing cuddler.

We started the day off with a TON of donuts.  I purchased 18 mixed frosted donuts, 2 cinnamon rolls, 3 fritters, an extra donut, 2 dozen chocolate frosted donut holes, and 6 chocolate frosted and SPRINKLED donut holes.   (No, this is so not paleo!)

Yeah, maybe it’s a little bit of overkill, but the tradition is to eat donuts for breakfast, and they’ve got to have some variety!  We have plenty for breakfast tomorrow, so that’s something. 😉

My son picked his itinerary for the rest of the day, and it’s typical cutie pie fare.  We’ll be going to Chuck E. Cheese for lunch so the kids can play games for hours.

Then, we’ll be going to Golden Corral for dinner.  I won’t lie, he picked it based on their dessert bar.  There’s just something about a chocolate fountain and cotton candy that draws a kid in.  (I used to call Golden Corral and places like it “old people food”, but now that they’ve updated the image… I rethink my stance.  That, or I’m “old” now… Cough.)

It’s All About Family

Probably the best part of all of this is that my ‘little’ family will get to spend the day with my mom, her hubby, and my grandma.  At dinner, my in-laws will be joining us.  How cool is that?  Four generations of family, spending the day together to celebrate the birth of my wonderful son.  We are so blessed.

I’m so glad that my kids have the opportunity to spend so much time with our extended family.  It’s so important to me that they have a good relationship with them, and it warms my heart to know how much mutual love is flowing between everyone. 🙂  It’s the best.
