Every year, it’s great seeing what other people are thankful for in their lives. It seems like everyone on my Facebook friends list is doing the daily thankful posts.
I have the worst time committing myself to remembering to post something like that daily, so I decided to forego that this year. Last year I tried, but totally failed. 😉
This year, I’m just going to make a list. It is not all-inclusive, and it’s not in any particular order, but it’ll do.
I am thankful for:
- My family.
- Tasty Food.
- My health.
- Things to celebrate.
- Exercise, and my ability to perform it.
- My home.
- Affordable power and gasoline.
- My faith.
- Living in a place with sunshine year-round.
- My friendships.
- Clean water to drink.
- Chocolate.
- My freedom.
- Tres Leches (my favorite cake, and it deserves its own number).
- My oversized garden tub.
- Debit cards.
- My Vitamix.
- Fluorescent lighting in my kitchen.
- Homeschooling.
- The internet.
- Paypal.
- Discount stores like Dollar Tree and Aldi.
- My gym.
- Great childcare at the gym.
- Lip balm.
- Music.
- A good razor to tame my mannish leg hair.
- Audio books.
- Being able to breastfeed my children.
- The library.
- Car seats.
- Mindless television to get my mind off of things for a while.
- Cotton.
- Small farmers that provide delicious, healthy foods to the communities they live in.
- Cell phones.
- My memories of great times with my grandparents.
- Free apps.
- Bacon.
- Simple meals that my family can all agree are great.
- Fresh flowers.
- Green trees and grass.
- My birth experiences, both personally and professionally as a doula.
- Coconut oil.
- Sunsets.
- Chai frappuccinos.
- Big, enveloping hugs.
- Laughter.
- The invention of blue jeans.
- Being a born and bred TEXAN! (Woot, woot! I love Texas!)
- All of my blessings. I know that where I am right now is where someone wishes they could be. At least that is what I tell myself when I’m experiencing a really bad day or a really hard time.
What are you thankful for?
