Keeping Kids Active – Coursing Around (and a giveaway!)

 Coursing Around is an easy way to get kids to exercise while having a LOT of fun!! 


In this fun little book, there are tons of really unique activities, obstacle courses, games, and more that kids can do alone or with friends.  Everything they need is included in and with the book!  It includes 2 pieces of chalk, a ruler, fitness facts, and 15 courses for kids to complete.  You could even do it with some masking tape indoors if you have the room and the weather is bad.  You could also use a jump rope and hula hoop or just do like I did and have your kids PRETEND to use them when they landed on a spot to jump rope or hula hoop.  Way to exercise the imagination, eh? 😉



Kids get to use their imaginations and the whole family can get involved.
My kids liked it a lot.  We used it at the park and my daughter loved it so much that she did the obstacle course over and over and encouraged her friends and brothers to do it too!  What a fun way to get exercise.

I hope to try this soon with more kids.  Maybe with Moms Club or my homeschooling co-op!

    What a fun idea! The site says that it is recommended for kids aged 4+, but I think that, with a little modification, I could easily have a great time with my toddler.

    I like that this is all stuff you can do simply with just sidewalk chalk-no need to carry around a ton of STUFF all the time to be active and have fun with your kids!
