A- Accessories (jewelry of some type!)
This is my typical daily BAMM |
So a lot of you put-together moms are probably looking at this picture and cracking up. These are huge beauty goals! You may be wondering what in the world I did to beautify myself daily prior to coming up with this resolution! I’ll tell you…. Umm…. the lip balm was pretty much it. 🙂
What I like about my resolution, and I was thinking about this back in December, is that it is PRACTICAL for every day. The balm and moisturizer protect (with their SPF) and condition my skin, while the mascara and the accessories make me feel a little more “dressy” each day without looking like I’m trying too hard. Sometimes one pair of earrings leads to earrings, a necklace, and some clanging bracelets! Sometimes the mascara leads to some blush and eyeshadow. All of the items listed in my resolution are inexpensive and can easily be picked up at any drugstore, such as Walgreens. Not only that, but they can be purchased in many varieties, colors, and styles for a great price so it is easy to stock up on a great assortment to mix it up each day.
Another reason I like this resolution is that it’s something I can feasibly continue on once the baby is born. Perhaps it’ll make me feel HUMAN on those days when I got 4 hours of broken sleep and served as a human pacifier during the night. I certainly hope so!
What are some of your beauty resolutions? Do you think it is important to take care of yourself even if you are The Mom 24/7?

I am trying to dress with clothes that FIT this year! NO more baggies (that make me look like I am wearing lounge clothes!). I like your BAMM! It’s been so much easier since the littlest isn’t in the baby stage anymore! HA!

With me getting married this year, I decided that I needed to start ‘sprucing’ up a bit in the make up dept. While I normally do jewelry on a day to day basis, I usually am like you and only do a lip gloss. For New Year’s Eve I got all ‘done’ up and I really liked the way it looked, so I am vowing that at least once a month I do my full makeup and look in the mirror and see the change!

Hi Jenn! I’m a FB fan and I love reading your blog!
My beauty resolution for 2012 is to find a face cleansing system that really works for my skin. I’m going to try my hardest to use an spf moisturizer every morning, including a spf lip balm. And try to limit the amount of makeup I use so that my skin can clear up and be fresher.

My beauty resolution is to WASH MY FACE EVEry night! . I know that seems simple. But for me it’s not. I have a process about washing my face and if I don’t dedicate 20 mins to it. I don’t do it. I just do the next morning- 8 hours with the previous days make up on can’t be good!

My beauty resolution is to make sure I drink enough water! My skin always looks much better when I do, and it’s just a healthy thing to do! 🙂

I have been trying to ween myself of of wearing makeup. I have worn it for so many years and I just want to feel comfortable in my own skin for awhile. The problem I am having is that I am never confident that my skin looks good enough so I am trying to get my skin super healthy and breakout free. My goal is to be able to rub on some sunscreen and mascara and call it good without feeling bad about myself. SO yeah, I am working on better skin this year.

Before having my little man, I used to wear makeup nearly every day. (ie- goth styles, eyeliner & shadow, etc.)
I’ve been neglecting myself lately and feeling much less “lady like,” so my beauty resolution is to dress-up my face once a week! Even if I don’t go out anywhere…just to make sure I’ve still got the touch. 🙂

I plan to drink more water so that my skin doesn’t dry out so much and use lotion more often & be more religious about sunscreen.

I am 27 weeks pregnant and I have an active little toddler that I chase around all day. Over the past two years I have put myself on the back burner and forgotten to take care of myself. This year I want to take better care of my body by taking sometime for myself! My goal is to get out of these pajama pants and feel pretty :)! Oh and I am a FB Fan!

I don’t leave my house without makeup, but don’t always remove it before bed. Not doing great things for my face. I’m resolving to wash my face before bed every night and drink more than enough water daily so my skin improves. I want to be able to wear nothing more than tinted moisturizer for flawless skin. 🙂

I want to get better at using moisturizer everyday, since I so often forget. I rarely wear make-up but when I do it is only Bare Minerals – I would like to try and maybe put it on once or twice a month.

I’m in my 30’s and I’ve also been in “Mom mode” for quite a few years. My beauty resolution is to focus more on my face and fitness. Using an anti-aging regimen on my face for my fine lines and wrinkles, and I just started a Zumba class to get my body back in shape and toned up. 🙂 *FB Fan*

I’m not a mom yet but my job is pretty much 24/7 and stressful. I fell into the same kind of thing as you the last 7 years (when I started the business).
Mine was even simpler than yours! I’m just doing daily moisturizer now or trying to remember.

My resolution is to get more sleep. I do not know if it is possible, but I am going to try to get into bed at an earlier hour. Therefore, more rest = more energy to workout. My workout schedule has disappeared, and I have to start it back up!
