(Part 1)
So I decided to lay down on the bed at 10:15am and literally less than 10 minutes later, the doorbell rings. My hubby had JUST gotten out of the shower and didn’t have a shirt on, so it was up to me to answer the door. (BTW, why does HE need to be modest about that?)
I answer the door and it’s a real estate associate from the company we’ve used to list our house and he says he has some investors looking at a ton of properties and they’re only in town for a few hours. I ask if we can have 15 minutes to clean up a bit and he says, “You don’t even have to clean up at all!” Yeah RIGHT!!! I insisted on 15 minutes and we finished up our cleaning that had already been started. Not so bad…
We step outside with the family and look at a garage sale across the street to waste time. It’s still cold out at this point and my kids are severely underdressed. haha They didn’t seem to care for the first 10 minutes, though! The garage sale didn’t take long, so we started to go for a walk which ended us up in some alleys near our home. The wind was AWFUL so we were just getting dust and rocks in our eyes, so we head back and dawdled while we waited for the people to leave.
FINALLY they left, so I decided to try laying down again around 10:45. Keep in mind, that’s when I was originally going to get up… I thought I’d set the alarm for about 10 minutes and then we’d head out. Well, 10 minutes went by and I was still SO exhausted (obviously). I told hubby to take the 2 older kids with him and leave the baby with me. We’d just nurse and sleep while they were gone. They left our house at 11:22, late for the farm. Heath and I fell asleep about then and at 11:30 were woken up by the doorbell AND someone walking in!!!
The lady said she was “early” for the showing (funny, I never got a call!) and that she was ready to show it now. I told her I had to put my shoes on and frantically made the bed. Heath got to ride forward facing for his first time ever because hubs had taken our family vehicle that had all 3 carseats in it. :-/ Luckily the seat was actually fine for him at 19 months, so we just drove around for about 15 minutes and came home. At this point, I was wishing I’d just gone to the farm with my family!!
Once I got home, I went back to the bed and ACTUALLY took a REAL nap. My mom came by a little before 3 to pick up all the kids and then hubby and I spent the next 22 hours kid-less to celebrate our 9th wedding anniversary (which is TODAY!!!). 🙂
I’m glad I finally got some sleep, but I *still* don’t feel caught up!!!
🙂
How was YOUR weekend?
I’m exhausted just reading that! Happy anniversary!
